This year had several vendors show up. Stan from American Airboats brought up a couple boats, including a red search and rescue special plus their signature camo series, Keith from GTO Airboats brought up one of their boats for a new customer and also the Mighty Mouse to race with which put on a nice show for spectators. Panther had their new boat their for coordinator Tom Dinsdale and Bobby from Diamondback was there. This is in additional to the many local builders who support this avid group of airboaters - Darrell Starks with Elkhorn Valley Airboats and Ed Franciscus with Platte River Airboats - both long time supporters and participants/racers of this great annual event.

Of course, Airboating Magazine was there - this year we had Jeff and Joyce there with our technical consultant, Bobby Hoffman who was even able to race - thank you very much Darrell with Elkhorn Valley Airboats for letting Bobby race one of their fast aviation boats.

In all it was a great weekend, lots of fun, great steak dinner on saturday night. Of course, we'll have lots of pictures and the full story and winners and from what I hear a beautiful Nebraska Swamp Sweetie in our September/October issue.

Glad to hear your crew and the vendors had a good time. The beef...well that is always a good time.

You certainly picked some great weather. Last weekend 75 and calm with white puffy clouds. This weekend 105 and calm.

Over the 4th I acquired some historical news documents on airboating in NE dating back to the 1950's. I'd be glad to send off some digital copies if your interested in a little color.

Hey Wildfowl, can you upload some of them to the gallery? Then maybe we could do a topic under Nebraska and maybe try to do some history for some of the other states too.
