Okay. Don't know enough about prop selection to make the correct choice on my own and I don't want to buy a new prop right now. So here goes: I have a 220 GPU O-470 Continental. I've been running a 72 x 36 stick prop but was thinking about going to a 68" 3 blade Super Snapper or possibly a Warp Drive. Will the 5 blade 66" warp be a good fit? What prop would you use and why?

The right wood prop for a 220 GPU would be a 7238 stick to keep it from turning over 3000 RPM's. If I were going to use a 5 blade Warp Drive, it would be a 70 inch, not a 66 inch. you may have to go past max pitch with a 66 inch. I don't know about the super snapper, I don't use those props.

Why not 72 inch? Cause 2 inches less in length gives more snap and 2 more inches pitch plus less tip speed.
